Normal facial expressions including smiling, frowning and squinting can result in wrinkles and fine lines appearing on the forehead, eye perimeter and between the eyebrows. Wrinkle relaxing injections (Botox and Dysport) relax wrinkles by acting on the underlying muscles in the face. As a result the overlying skin appears smoother.
The most common areas for wrinkle relaxing injections include forehead lines, frown lines, creases between the eyebrows and Crow’s feet. At Kinvara Private Hospital, we use both Botox and Dysport as wrinkle relaxing injections. The targetted area is injected and usually takes about 15 minutes and the maximum benefit is usually seen two weeks after the injections. The effects typically last between three to four months.
