Understanding Circumcision
Circumcision removes the foreskin so that the head of the penis is permanently uncovered. In adults it is most often recommended for a medical reason, the commonest being phimosis, where the foreskin is too tight to retract and causes discomfort, infections or difficulty with hygiene. It may also be advised for recurrent inflammation, or for a condition called BXO that causes scarring of the foreskin.
Where a medical problem is mild, there may be alternatives to surgery, such as steroid creams or a partial procedure, and Mr AbuSanad will talk these through where they apply. The Procedure
