Mr Ed Holloway

A graduate of the University of Leeds, Mr Holloway completed his Orthopaedic Higher Surgical training on the South Yorkshire rotation. His pursuit of excellence led him to undertake two years of sub-specialty fellowship training. The first year was spent at the University of Toronto in Canada, where he completed a Lower Limb Arthroplasty Fellowship. The second fellowship took place at the highly regarded Chapel Allerton Hospital in Leeds. During this time, Mr Holloway also completed a course in Strategic Leadership and Management with the Chartered Management Institute, further enhancing his skills as a healthcare leader.

As a dedicated researcher, Mr Holloway actively contributes to the advancement of orthopaedic surgery. He has presented his findings at national and international conferences and has authored book chapters and articles related to Lower Limb Arthroplasty and exam preparation for orthopaedic trainees.

At Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Mr Holloway serves as the Audit and Governance Lead, ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient safety. He also coordinates the education programmes for undergraduate students and junior doctors rotating through the Orthopaedic department, demonstrating his commitment to nurturing the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons. Additionally, Mr Holloway sits on the Medical Education, Thromboprophylaxis, and Thrombosis Committees, contributing his expertise to various aspects of healthcare delivery.
