Visitor Information at Kinvara Private Hospital
Visiting hours, parking, and how to help us keep the hospital safe and comfortable for everyone.
We welcome family members, friends, and close supporters to visit patients at Kinvara Private Hospital. Our visiting guidelines balance the benefit of visits with the need to maintain a quiet, safe, and restful environment for everyone.
Visiting Hours
Visiting takes place from 10:00am to 8:00pm, Monday to Friday. These hours allow plenty of time for family and friends to call in while leaving space for medical reviews, nursing care, and rest periods.
To support a calm atmosphere, no more than two visitors at the bedside at any one time. This allows easier access for staff and gives the patient space to rest.
Parking for Visitors
Free parking is available on site for all visitors and patients, close to the main entrance. Follow the signage on entering the hospital grounds.
If you have mobility needs or are bringing someone who uses a wheelchair, spaces nearer the entrance are available - staff can direct you if needed.
Helping Us Keep the Hospital Safe
A clean, low-risk environment supports faster recovery and protects vulnerable patients. Visitors play a key part by following simple measures.
Please avoid heavily soiled shoes, work boots, or clothing in contact with dirt, chemicals, or animals - these can bring germs into clinical areas. Change into clean footwear and outer layers if you come straight from work or outdoor tasks.
Do not visit if you have had cold, flu, vomiting, diarrhoea, or fever symptoms in the past 48 hours. If you have been ill but feel better within that window, check with the ward nurse before coming in.
Children are welcome and can be reassuring for patients, but must remain under close adult supervision at all times. Keep young children from running, climbing, or touching medical equipment.
Additional Visitor Guidance
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or use the alcohol gel provided when you arrive and before you leave the patient's room.
In the event of high levels of seasonal illness in the community, we may introduce temporary restrictions, such as asking visitors to wear face coverings in certain areas. We communicate any changes clearly on arrival or in advance where possible.
By working together on these guidelines, visitors help create the best conditions for patient recovery. If you have any questions about visiting or need to check something specific, please contact the ward directly or call our main line on 01709 464200.
